Our ski and wake school camps provide coaching and instruction for those participating in towed water sports. We offer everything from learning to ski, wakeboard or riding inflatable water toys to training for competition. All levels of instruction are available and are individualized, so it doesn’t matter what skill level you are at when you enroll. All lessons are one-on-one with a driver and instructor in each boat. Our lakes are man made and only one boat is running on each lake at a time.
- Our ski and wake camps is open from the middle of February through November; our Summer Camp Programs are available EVERY WEEK when school is out from May thru August. We begin each week with a new group of students and can accommodate 24-26 students per week.
- Housing for the students We have bedrooms with 1, 2, 3, or 4 sets of bunks per room. Anne books the students for their weekly sessions and the housing arrangements are based on gender and then age.
- The room and board rate includes 3 meals a day Monday – Thursday and 2 meals on Friday. The Day camp students are welcome to eat lunch with us all 5 days at no extra charge but do not include housing. Day camp students should plan to arrive around 8:15 AM each day and should be finished with their sets by 4:30 or 5:00 PM.
During their time “off the water” the campers enjoy our large game room, swimming pool, basketball, fishing, observing the staff training for their water sports and each others camaraderie. On Wednesday night the staff takes the students to the movies or other entertainment. Supervision for activities is provided by our instructors (which is normally around 15-20 people each year). - Our weekly sessions begin with check in on Sunday starting at 5:00pm. Those that have not had dinner are taken into Zachary to eat around 7:00pm (meals for students begin on Monday morning) and Orientation begins around 9:00 PM. During Orientation the students write out a brief information sheet on their present ability level and what they would like to participate in during their week. The schedule and rules of the camp are also reviewed and discussed during Orientation. All rules are to be adhered to and noncompliance can result in students being sent home with no refund!
- Safety Orientation takes place on Monday morning (non-room & board students must be present) around 8:15. Anne reviews the safety aspects of being “on the water” at Tri-Lakes and gives safety tips to help us have a safe and productive week for everyone!
- During our week-long ski school Students take a maximum of 4 sets each day from Monday through to Thursday inclusive. The week ends with 2 sets in the morning on Friday
- On Friday morning the parents may begin arriving around 8:30 AM to participate in the morning rounds. They may observe from the bank or ride in the boat to watch the last two rounds of the week to see what the students have accomplished. Once the students are finished with their sets for the morning, have completed their shopping or browsing in the Pro Shop and have cleared their bill in the Pro Shop, they are free to leave. They are also welcome to stay for lunch which will be served around noon and depart after eating.
- a “tab” in the Pro Shop for purchases which should be paid before their departure. This eliminates the need for students to have a large sum of money during their stay at Bennett’s.
